Reds mourn Lane
Liverpool Football Club were today saddened to learn of the death of former goalkeeper Frank Lane at the age of 62.
Lane was signed by Bill Shankly in September 1971 from Tranmere Rovers.
He made two first-team appearances during his four years at Anfield before joining Notts County in 1975.
Everybody at Liverpool FC would like to offer their deepest condolences to Frank's family and friends at this sad time.
