Twelve of Liverpool’s senior players will be away with their respective nations during the March international break.

Eight of Jürgen Klopp’s squad will begin the opening stages of their campaigns to qualify for the 2024 European Championship.

Among those is captain Jordan Henderson, who has been included in England's squad for a qualifying double header. The Three Lions visit Italy on March 23 before hosting Ukraine (March 26) at Wembley.

Virgil van Dijk and Cody Gakpo, similarly, face France (March 24) and Gibraltar (March 27) for the Netherlands, with the former fixture seeing them face teammate Ibrahima Konate, while Didier Deschamps' men also face Caoimhin Kelleher's Republic of Ireland three days later.

Scotland captain Andy Robertson is set to lead out his nation against Cyprus (March 25) and Spain (March 28).

Diogo Jota and Portugal are preparing for fixtures against Liechtenstein (March 23) and Luxembourg (March 26), meanwhile, Kostas Tsimikas and Greece will meet Gibraltar (March 24) and Lithuania (March 27).

Kelleher and Ireland will first face a friendly with Latvia on March 22 before beginning Euro qualifying against France on March 27.

Elsewhere, Mohamed Salah and Egypt are set for a double header versus Malawi in Africa Cup of Nations qualifying.

The first of two meetings will take place on March 24, while a return fixture is penned in four days later on March 28.

Also in AFCON qualifying, Naby Keita's Guinea will take on Ethiopia on March 24 and March 27.

Finally, at U21 level, Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones have been included in England’s squad for friendly fixtures against France (March 25) and Croatia (March 28).
