Adam Lallana and Divock Origi are in line to be available for Saturday's clash with Southampton, but James Milner and Xherdan Shaqiri are not yet ready to return.

Liverpool host Saints at Anfield with the aim of extending their lead at the top of the Premier League to 22 points.

They’ll do so without Milner and Shaqiri, with the pair still recovering from injuries, but Lallana is back in training after a virus and Origi should be in contention following a bout of cramp in midweek.

“Not for this game but then afterwards, hopefully,” Jürgen Klopp said of Milner and Shaqiri’s availability at his pre-match press conference.

“Adam trained normally, Divock was cramp. He didn’t train yesterday because it was not a day for him to train. But I heard nothing else so he should be in training today.”
