Virgil van Dijk has been crowned as the Football Supporters' Association Player of the Year.

The centre-half's stunning 2019 was recognised on Monday night with another individual accolade to go with his PFA Players' Player of the Year, Premier League Player of the Season and UEFA Men's Player of the Year awards.

The Liverpool No.4 beat Raheem Sterling, Son Heung-min, Jamie Vardy, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and teammate Sadio Mane to this latest gong.

"I'm very grateful to get this trophy. It means a lot to me," Van Dijk said. "Thank you to everyone for voting me player of the year, all of the fans around the country.

"Hopefully I can keep doing what I'm doing, getting better and helping the team and the club."
