Sadio Mane scores twice as Senegal reach AFCON knockouts
Sadio Mane scored twice to help Senegal guarantee their spot in the knockout stages of the Africa Cup of Nations with a 3-0 win against Kenya on Monday night.
The Liverpool forward made amends for a first-half penalty miss with two goals after the interval – the second a successful spot-kick – to follow up Ismaila Sarr’s opener.
The result in Cairo meant Senegal finished second in Group C behind Algeria and will now take on Uganda in the last 16 on Friday evening.
