Liverpool will reach a goalscoring benchmark under Jürgen Klopp if they can replicate their recent record against Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield on Sunday.

The Reds have netted twice in each of the last two home league matches with Spurs and a repeat this weekend would bring up 400 goals in all competitions under Klopp, in just 197 games.

It's a fixture that usually delivers goals, with 151 scored in Premier League meetings between the two sides; only the Reds' encounters with Arsenal (155) have produced more.

The teams have met 53 times in the Premier League with Liverpool winning 24, drawing 15 and losing 14.

The Reds have lost just one of the last 24 meetings at Anfield in the top flight.

Liverpool have scored 90 times in Premier League clashes with Spurs - only netting more against Newcastle United (95) during the same era.

In the last 13 league meetings home and away the Reds have failed to score only once; that was Klopp's first game in charge - a goalless draw at White Hart Lane in October 2015.

The Reds need two goals to record 150 against Spurs at Anfield in the league. This will be the 76th meeting on the ground.

A different Liverpool player has netted a brace in each of the last two home league meetings with Tottenham: Mohamed Salah last season and Sadio Mane in 2016-17.

Mane has scored in Liverpool's last six home league games and should he score against Spurs he will become only the fourth player to net in seven successive matches at Anfield in the Premier League.

Mane would move level with Luis Suarez and Salah, while Fernando Torres went on a record run of eight.

Tottenham have picked up 11 points from the last possible 72 in visits to Anfield.

Mauricio Pochettino's men have won 11 away games in the top flight this season - more than any other team. They have not drawn on the road during this campaign.

Going into this round of fixtures Spurs have scored more away league goals than any other Premier League team: 32 in 16 games.

Last season, Harry Kane became the first player to score for Tottenham in both league meetings of a campaign against Liverpool since Jamie Carragher scored own goals in both encounters in 1998-99.
