Jürgen Klopp provided a positive update on Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's rehabilitation from a long-term knee injury on Friday - and our photos and footage show his latest progress at Melwood.

The 25-year-old has begun running outside at the Reds’ training complex as he continues to work his way back towards full fitness.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has been out of action since sustaining multiple ligament damage to his knee during the Champions League semi-final with AS Roma at Anfield in April.

And while the midfielder still has plenty of work to do in his recuperation programme, Klopp confirmed last week he was ‘ahead of schedule’ at this stage of his rehab.
