Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold is on the final 20-player shortlist for the 2018 Golden Boy award.

The 20-year-old remains in the running for the annual prize after an original group of 100 candidates was periodically reduced during recent months.

Awarded by Tuttosport, the accolade recognises the achievements of players under the age of 21 in European football – with the winner decided by the votes of journalists.

Alexander-Arnold enjoyed a breakthrough campaign for the Reds last season, helping his hometown club to the Champions League final before representing England at the World Cup.
