Virgil van Dijk and Georginio Wijnaldum were both on target to help Netherlands to a commanding 3-0 win over Germany in the UEFA Nations League on Saturday night.

Van Dijk nodded in the opening goal in Amsterdam, reacting quickly to divert the ball over the line after ex-Liverpool forward Ryan Babel had witnessed his header from a corner crash back off the crossbar.

And after Memphis Depay had added the hosts’ second, Wijnaldum netted a fine solo effort in stoppage-time to complete the victory.

Elsewhere, Sadio Mane helped Senegal to a 3-0 victory against Sudan in Africa Cup of Nations qualifying in Dakar.
