Liverpool quartet called up by England
Adam Lallana, Joe Gomez, Jordan Henderson and Trent Alexander-Arnold have been called up for England duty.
The Liverpool quartet were included in the Three Lions’ 23-man squad for their upcoming matches against Spain and Switzerland on Thursday.
Lallana and Gomez missed this summer’s World Cup but, with both now fully fit again, Gareth Southgate has selected them in his first squad since the tournament.
Henderson and Alexander-Arnold were part of the England set-up that reached the semi-finals in Russia.
Southgate’s side host Spain at Wembley in the UEFA Nations League on Saturday September 8 and welcome Switzerland to the King Power Stadium for a friendly three days later.
