Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain celebrates his 25th birthday today - and to mark the occasion, relive some of his most memorable moments as a Liverpool player from his debut season at the club.

The midfielder is currently undergoing a rehabilitation programme after surgery on multiple ligament damage sustaining making a tackle during the first leg of the Reds’ Champions League semi-final with AS Roma at Anfield in April.

It means Oxlade-Chamberlain is likely to miss the vast majority of the 2018-19 season as he continues his journey back to full fitness.

Signed from Arsenal on August’s transfer deadline day last summer, the No.21 quickly established himself as a popular figure at Melwood with his teammates and staff and a firm favourite among supporters.

His performances prior to injury were vital in Liverpool’s progression in the Champions League as FC Porto, Manchester City and Roma were blown away in the knockout stages en route to the final in Kiev.

Away from the pitch, his affable personality was on display in a series of exclusive features and interviews recorded for LFCTV GO.

“He is such an outstandingly good person and someone who even when not playing is integral to the heartbeat of Melwood,” Jürgen Klopp said recently.
