Photos: Van Dijk and Wijnaldum return to Melwood
Virgil van Dijk and Georginio Wijnaldum returned to Melwood to start pre-season on Sunday morning - and our photographer was there to capture their comeback.
The Dutch pair's international commitments after the end of last season meant a slightly delayed beginning to their preparations, but both were in early to catch up today.
Stretches and exercises were the first point of call for the duo, who then headed out into the sunshine to conduct their lactate test.
