Lovren v Mane in World Cup warm-up
It was Dejan Lovren v Sadio Mane as Croatia and Senegal faced off in a World Cup warm-up match in Osijek on Friday evening.
The Liverpool teammates were in direct opposition during the opening 45 minutes of the friendly, which the hosts went on to win 2-1 despite falling behind early in the second half.
Lovren was one of three Croatia players withdrawn at the interval with the score still goalless but Mane featured for the entire match.
Croatia play their first World Cup fixture against Nigeria on June 16, while Senegal - who will meet South Korea in another preparation game on Monday - start the tournament by facing Poland on June 19.
