Trent Alexander-Arnold made his senior England debut as Gareth Southgate's side beat Costa Rica 2-0 in their final outing before the World Cup.

The Liverpool defender started the friendly at Elland Road on Thursday night and featured for 64 minutes, as did club colleague Jordan Henderson.

Marcus Rashford and Danny Welbeck scored in either half for the Three Lions, who will now prepare for their opening match in Russia – against Tunisia on June 18.
