Three Liverpool stars were in action for their countries yesterday evening during the latest round of international friendlies.

Marko Grujic played 90 minutes for Serbia as they warmed up for the World Cup by taking on Chile in Graz, with Guillermo Maripan's 88th-minute goal deciding the game in favour of the South Americans.

There was also late drama in last night's other fixture featuring members of Jürgen Klopp's squad.

Georginio Wijnaldum and Virgil van Dijk played the entirety of the Netherland's 1-1 draw with an Italy team that also missed out on a place in Russia this summer.

Simone Zaza's 67th-minute strike opened the scoring for the hosts, who lost Domenico Criscito to a red card just moments after the restart in Torino.

The Dutch subsequently secured a draw as Nathan Ake struck with two minutes of normal time remaining.
