Debutant Sadio Mane then made it 4-1 with a sensational individual effort before Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain quickly pulled one back.
Calum Chambers made it 4-3 with a header from a set-piece, but there was to be no comeback for Arsene Wenger's men.
