Liverpool duo Joe Gomez and Jordan Rossiter have been presented with commemorative Premier League Debut Footballs in recognition of their top-flight bows earlier this season.

The former, a summer signing from Charlton Athletic, made his first appearance at the highest level of the English game at Stoke City on the opening day of the campaign.

Rossiter, meanwhile, was given a maiden opportunity in the division when he came on as a second-half substitute during the Reds’ goalless draw at Arsenal in August.

The pair were acknowledged as part of a new Premier League initiative which marks the achievements of home-grown players making their top-flight debuts.

They receive a cased official 2015-16 match ball containing a plaque engraved with the player’s name, details of their debut match and the date of the game.
