Ahead of Liverpool Ladies' crunch derby clash with Everton on Thursday night, we caught up with Gemma Bonner to try and discover a bit more about the captain…

With just four games remaining, the Reds tackle the Blues at their shared home of the Select Security Stadium in Widnes knowing three points will take them another step closer to retaining their Women's Super League title.

Bonner will lead the Ladies out determined to maintain their outstanding run of recent form - and in the countdown to kick off, took a few moments out of her preparations to try her hand at our 'Getting to Know...' quiz.

The best goal I've ever scored in my career is...

I'd have to say my goal away against Bristol last season - but I don't usually score many!

I'd describe the music on my iPod as...

A mix of everything. I'm quite liking Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran at the moment.

My party trick is...

I can split an apple in half using only my hands.

The last film I watched at the cinema was...

I have watched a few recently but I enjoyed The Inbetweeners 2.

The best piece of advice I've ever been given is...

Don't be afraid to make mistakes as long as you learn from them!

The best thing about playing for LFC Ladies is...

Doing something you love every day and having the chance to train daily and improve with the best players around you.

The reason I can't wait to play in the Champions League is...

I can't wait to experience it for the first time! I'm really looking forward to the challenge of playing in Europe's elite competition and being tested against the best players.

Captaining Liverpool Ladies means...

Liverpool is a massive club with great history and I also supported the club growing up, so it is very special for me to be captain and an honour I am extremely proud of.

My favourite place in the city of Liverpool is...

The Albert Dock on the waterfront with all the nice restaurants and bars!

I think the game against Everton will be...

An exciting game with both teams looking for the three points for different reasons.

Liverpool fans should get down to the Select Security Stadium to watch the game because...

Merseyside derbies are some of the most exciting games in the WSL and the team needs your support as we look to retain our title.

Playing for England makes me...

Very proud! It is one of the biggest honours in football to represent your country at the top level.

The last time I was star struck was...

I haven't really been star struck, although having the opportunity to play pool with all the Barcelona players when they were training at St George's Park recently was very surreal.

The vainest teammate is...

Martha Harris or Katie Zelem, they both love taking selfies although Zelem only seems to like one half of her face!

My teammate with the best style is...

I'm struggling with that. I'm not sure any of them have style...

My best ever game for LFC Ladies is...

Last game of the season, knowing we had qualified for the Champions League and if we won that game we were champions.

If I ruled the world for a day I would...

Stop using money, it seems to dictate a lot of things now.

One thing I can't live without is...

Sleep! I usually tend to be able to nap whenever I want.

My pre-match ritual is...

I don't really have any apart from I always put my right sock and boot on first.

The player I've tried to base my game on is...

I used to enjoy watching Carlos Puyol and Lucas Radebe when I was younger, so I tried to learn things from them.
