Against Stoke on the opening day of the season Simon Mignolet became the first Liverpool goalkeeper ever to save a penalty on his debut.

Liverpool won their first three league games of a campaign for the first time since 1994-95.

Mignolet became only the third Liverpool goalkeeper in history to keep clean-sheets in his first three Liverpool appearances.

It was the first time in top-flight history a team had won its first three league games by a 1-0 scoreline with the goals coming from the same player. (In this case Daniel Sturridge).

Sturridge became only the fourth Liverpool player ever to score in the opening four games of a league season and the first since John Aldridge in 1987.

Against Crystal Palace in October Steven Gerrard became the first Liverpool player ever to score in 15 successive league seasons.
