As part of the Academy's ongoing activities within the local community, young quartet Ryan Kent, Will Marsh, Sam Hart and Dharius Waldron have paid a visit to kids at Alder Hey children's hospital.

The trip was part of the Academy's initiative to give grounding to their young footballers, who not only take part in regular hospital visits to Alder Hey and the Claire House hospice, but also help serve food at Liverpool's homeless shelter.

The starlets never fail to bring a smile to the faces of the young patients, as they arrive to sign autographs and have photographs taken with them - as well as hand out sweets to the children.

One touching moment on this particular day saw one of the young patients ask defender Waldron for a hug as the Academy quartet were leaving.

Alder Hey is currently raising £30million to build the new Alder Hey in the Park, a truly world-leading hospital for families across the UK. To donate, click here.
