Daniel Sturridge has today been named the Barclays Premier League Player of the Month for February.

The striker enjoyed another prolific month for Liverpool, firing five goals and claiming two assists in four league fixtures.

Sturridge began with an effort in a 1-1 draw with West Brom at the Hawthorns before following it up with another strike in the stunning 5-1 win over Arsenal at Anfield.

The 24-year-old was also on target during a 3-2 victory at Fulham before he wrapped up the month with a brace in the pulsating 4-3 thriller versus Swansea City in front of the Kop.

It's the second time this season Sturridge has scooped the Barclays Premier League Player of the Month accolade, having previously claimed it for his exploits in August.
