Eagle-eyed followers of LFC TV should spot a different face on the club's official television channel in the coming days and weeks – so let’s find out more about new presenter Lynsey Hooper…

Having previously worked with the BBC, ITV and Sky Sports, Lynsey joins familiar faces Claire Rourke and Mark Benstead as the people to keep you updated with the latest LFC news.

In addition to conducting interviews with first-team players at Melwood, Lynsey will help to bring supporters even closer to the action at Anfield as part of LFC TV's matchday coverage.

She will also feature on our weekly programme 'Thursday Night Live', a more light-hearted look at recent events, host live news bulletins and chair our regular phone-in shows.

To learn more about Lynsey and how she found her way to Liverpool Football Club, following her first day at HQ, read on for her interview with Liverpoolfc.com.

Tell us about yourself and your journey to LFC TV...

I live in London and I've come from Sky Sports, one of the main jobs I used to have. I also used to be a sports journalist for ITV Central News and before that, BBC East Midlands Today.

What attracted you to LFC TV?

I really want the diversity of working across a few different programmes; I love doing live television; working in football and working in the Premier League, in particular, is something I wanted to be associated with. Also, I really want to do a variety of roles within my job - so as well as doing the news, you get to do 'Thursday Night Live' and pitchside from games. All of that appealed. I just thought it was a really good time to come to a club that is doing very well.

Which players are you most looking forward to interviewing?

I've met Steven Gerrard before, through England duty, but only once and he wouldn't remember me. I'm really looking forward to seeing him again and hopefully developing a bit of a rapport. I very much like Luis Suarez - he's obviously the form player of the season and seems like a really interesting character. I'm really gutted that I missed Jamie Carragher actually, because I would have liked to meet him and interview him a few times. Raheem Sterling, coming through, is a player I really rate and would like to see how he gets on. And Glen Johnson, I think he is one of the best right-backs in the country.

How have you found your first few days at the club?

I've been introduced to everybody and I'm trying to remember everybody's names. Everybody has been really friendly and great. I get to go to my first match tonight - I will be at Anfield and will get to experience the full atmosphere there. Hopefully I'll just be part of the furniture before long!
