Continuing our FA Cup final memories feature ahead of Saturday's Wembley showdown with Chelsea, we take a look back at the 2006 final v West Ham United.

Liverpool continued their wonderful affiliation with Cardiff's Millennium Stadium in a final that will be forever affectionately remembered as the 'Steven Gerrard final'.

After seeing off Chelsea in the semi-final Alan Pardew's Hammers would prove to be a tough nut to crack.

West Ham started on fire and were soon 2-0 up but Gerrard's superb pass then found Djibril Cisse who fired home a wonderful goal.

Gerrard equalised to make it 2-2 but Paul Konchesky's lob over Pepe put the Hammers in the winning position once again.

The inspirational No.8 then produced his 'Superman' act and with time almost running out he hit an unstoppable rocket shot beyond Shaka Hislop to force extra-time.

Pepe Reina then showed his qualities in the shoot-out and Stevie G had his hands on another trophy.
