Just hours before watching Steven Gerrard bag a derby hat-trick at Anfield, Ian Ayre took to the stage at the Liverpool Echo Arena to discuss all things LFC in a wide-ranging interview with comedian John Bishop.
With the Global Entrepreneurship Congress 2012 in Liverpool for the first time - featuring Sir Richard Branson, Sir Terry Leahy and Lord Heseltine amongst many others - the Reds' managing director began the afternoon session taking part in a panel discussion about the power of technology in business, citing Liverpool's data analysis of daily training sessions as evidence the club are keen to embrace new technologies.
Later in the day, with the event drawing to a close, Ayre returned to the stage alongside John Bishop for a fascinating interview focusing on a number of footballing topics and conducted in Bishop's inimitable style.
