Dirk Kuyt used his Twitter page to thank the patrons of Anfield for helping the Reds see off Manchester United on Saturday - and he wasn't the only Liverpool player tweeting after our FA Cup fourth round triumph.

The Dutchman wrote: "Thanks for all the support today!! It was a massive win an great to score in front of the kop against man. united again!! :)"

Luis Suarez, who watched the game from the directors' box, also posted a message afterwards.

His tweet was: "Very happy and proud of my teammates. For giving this joy to the fans who are spectacular. We passed the round in a very complicated playoff ... I'll be back soon! YNWA."

Lucas Leiva was also not involved but watched from Melwood. He tweeted throughout the game and afterwards congratulated match-winner Dirk Kuyt.

Charlie Adam wrote: "Great win today from lads. Move on to wolves now."

Glen Johnson also loves a tweet and his post-match message was: "Great result today lads!!! Roll on the next round!!!"

It wasn't just the first team who were sharing their thoughts on the social networking site.

Reserve striker Nathan Eccleston revealed that, having watched most of the match at Anfield, he missed the winning goal.

"Left 5mins early missed dirks goal !! Great win #YNWA GET IN !!!" he tweeted.

Meanwhile, out-on-loan Daniel Pacheco told his followers: "Amazing result for reds today !!! Congratulations @Dirk_18_Kuyt for the goal. Been busy so didn't tweet before. Well done reds YNWA."
