Watch: The making of Will
It was the fairytale story the likes of which had never been witnessed before - and probably never will again - and today, Liverpool's 2005 Champions League triumph against all odds is immortalised on the big screen with the release of 'Will'.
The movie, which features cameos from Anfield trio Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher and Kenny Dalglish, is released nationwide across the UK today.
Also starring Perry Eagleton, Damien Lewis, Kristian Kiehling and Bob Hoskins, Will is the story of an 11-year-old Reds fan whose steadfast determination to make it to the Ataturk Stadium in honour of his late father sees him overcome all odds and obstacles to achieve his goal - just like Liverpool on that crazy night on the Bosporus.
With large parts of the movie filmed on location in Istanbul, the producers were meticulous in ensuring the set was an authentic representation of how the Ataturk Stadium looked and felt on May 25, 2005.
From director Ellen Perry's initial idea until the recent world premiere at Liverpool One's Odeon Cinema last month, the whole process from concept to the big screen took approximately six years.
