Watch Andy Robertson try his hand at teaching in the first episode of Kop Kids - Lockdown Lessons, presented by Joie Baby.

With many children currently having to learn remotely from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic, lessons are being delivered virtually by their teachers.

And year six pupils from Whitefield Primary School recently logged on to find their history lesson featured a surprise substitute - Mr Robertson.

Ahead of this weekend’s Merseyside derby, the Liverpool left-back tested their knowledge of the two clubs while also fielding a variety of questions put to him by the kids.

So, who has the worst haircut in the Reds’ squad? What’s the best place Robertson has ever been to? And would he prefer to be a dog or a cat?!

Robertson was aided by coaches from LFC Foundation, the club’s official charity, and Joie Baby has donated new iPads to the school to support with lessons inside the classroom.

“These are tough times for kids - they have had their lives put on hold without any say in the matter. Schools are closed, extra-curricular activities are on hold and they are all missing their friends as well as having to get to grips with learning online,” said David Welsh, Joie managing director.

“It was our privilege to be able to give some of the kids at Whitefield Primary a bit of a treat - they certainly deserve it.”

Joie has also teamed up with the club’s official mascot, Mighty Red, to deliver a bi-weekly Instagram quiz to encourage families to come together and take part.
