On this day in 1984, Joe Fagan led Liverpool to a remarkable treble as the club's fourth European Cup was clinched with victory over AS Roma in Italy.

Our latest delve into the Liverpoolfc.com archives pays tribute to the class of 1983-84 - which also won the First Division title and League Cup - with two of its heroes.

Phil Neal opened the scoring against Roma only to see that effort cancelled out. 

The final eventually went to penalties and, just as he was against Real Madrid in Paris three years earlier, Alan Kennedy was the Reds' hero as he slotted home the winning kick.

To mark the 30th anniversary of that occasion, we reunited Neal and Kennedy to talk about that special campaign and the glory of Rome.
