Rhian Brewster took time out after completing his injury rehabilitation schedule for the day to visit a West Derby school earlier this week to meet local pupils.

The young striker made his way to St Paul’s Catholic Primary School - just a short distance from Melwood - to spend time with pupils from years three and four.

During his time in the classroom, the 18-year-old spoke about the highlights of his career so far and the hard work and dedication it takes to be successful, before answering the kids’ questions and posing for photos.

Clare O’Callaghan, deputy head teacher at St Paul’s Catholic Junior School, said: “It’s great that Liverpool FC provide the kids with opportunities to meet first-team players like this.

“The kids have absolutely loved meeting Rhian today, and listening to him talk about achieving success at such a young age is something that was really inspiring for them to hear.”

LFC committed to first-team players visiting schools in the local area after autographs and photographs outside Melwood were prohibited for health and safety reasons.

The school visits provide a safer environment for young fans to collect autographs and allow even more local children to meet the players face to face.
