Ahead of Liverpool’s game against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday, stars of BBC’s Super Movers and the LFC’s official mascot, Mighty Red, surprised fans with a live performance.

The LFC Foundation teamed up with Super Movers, which is a partnership between the Premier League and BBC, to create the fun dance workout and video designed to get children and grown-ups moving together in their living rooms.

‘The Liverpool Bounce’ was performed in the busy LFC Family Park and around Anfield prior to the Reds’ 1-0 win, and received a welcome reaction from both home and away fans.

The ‘Liverpool Bounce’ video was filmed in Stanley Park and features local children who regularly participate in the LFC Foundation’s Open Goals sessions. The video can be watched online, on the BBC Super Movers website.

Katie Ellis, LFC Foundation project lead, said: “Liverpool Bounce was inspired by our Open Goals multi-sports sessions in local parks, and the local kids loved taking part in the video and learning the dance routine.

“We hope that the video will encourage plenty of young people and their grown-ups, not just LFC fans, to get active and have fun performing the simple dance routine.”

In addition to the ‘Just for Fun’ videos and games, Super Movers brings together stars from football and television to showcase fun curriculum-linked Brain Booster songs and movement routines for use by teachers in the classroom.
