Liverpool FC community coaches delivered a special soccer clinic this week at the OrthoCarolina Sportsplex in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The football skills session, led by LFC's four-strong professional female coaches, was run alongside the Charlotte Soccer Academy (CSA) and saw 32 local girls take part.

CSA is a grassroots organisation which promotes girls’ youth soccer, and the participants, aged between 7-14 years, were invited to the clinic through Charlotte’s official LFC supporters clubs.

The girls took part in numerous skills and drills activities before rounding up the afternoon with series of fun mini-games against the LFC staff.

Vicky Jepson, LFC community coach, said: "It’s brilliant to team up with CSA to help promote girls’ football over here in the US.

"As part of the club’s pre-season tour schedule, we're committed to supporting the communities we’re visiting and soccer clinics like this are a great way to do that.

"The girls had a great time and hopefully they'll all continue playing football in the future."
