LFC Foundation’s new Open Goals programme will be delivering free family activities at the Africa Oyé Festival in Sefton Park this weekend.

Qualified coaches from the club’s official charity - supported by Liverpool John Moores University volunteers - will be on hand to offer sports and fun-filled games to both adults and children visiting the annual music and culture event, now in its 26th year.

Based in the Oyé Village family park, close to the Obelisk monument, LFC Foundation’s sessions will run from 12.30pm-5.30pm on both Saturday and Sunday (June 16 and 17).

Open Goals is designed to bring families and communities together to socalise and get active, with regular sessions taking place each weekend in public parks throughout the city.

The free activities are suitable for anyone aged five and over, and can be found in the following locations:

Wavertree Sports Park: every Saturday at 11am and 12pm
Stanley Park: every Saturday at 11am and 12pm
Doric Park: every Sunday at 11am
Walton Hall Park: every Sunday at 1pm and 2pm
Belle Vale Park: every Sunday at 1pm and 2pm
Norris Green Park: every Saturday at 1.30pm
