100 young Reds were treated to a special Christmas party held by Liverpool FC at Anfield.

First-team players Danny Ings and Alberto Moreno were on hand to bring some festive cheer to the children, along with Academy duo Brad Garton and Corey Whelan.

The party, held in the Champions suite at Anfield, saw the junior fans and their families - 50 with official LFC membership and 50 from local primary schools and charities - enjoy a three-course Christmas dinner, as well as a prize raffle and entertainment, which included face painting and balloon making.

The youngsters were also given the opportunity to meet Mighty Red and quiz Ings during a Q&A session.

The free-of-charge event was arranged by the club to give the children a memorable Christmas experience.

Ings said: “I had a fantastic afternoon at the party. It’s great to get involved with the local community and see all of the children so excited."
