Merseyrail has confirmed that strike action has been cancelled on Saturday August 24. However, fans are still advised to plan their journey in advance and arrive at the stadium early to avoid delays due to emergency gas works in the local area.

Works will be undertaken from Friday August 23 until early next week affecting Queens Drive at the junction of East Prescot Road. Fans should take alternative routes in order to avoid road closures and delays. For more information please click here.

Following the cancellation of strikes, normal train services will resume and the Soccerbus (operated by Peoplesbus) will be in operation from Sandhills Station. The service will run from three hours before kick-off, dropping supporters off on Walton Lane near the junction of Anfield Road (Goodison bound). The service will run for 90 minutes after each game.

The Stagecoach 917 express service will operate as normal from Lime Street Station, as will the Taxi One taxibus service. The 501 and 502 services (Peoplesbus) will also be in operation post match, departing from Walton Breck Road to Lime Street station.

LFC fan support will be on hand to assist should you have any queries.
