LFC Foundation, the official charity of Liverpool FC, is pleased to announce the appointment of Matt Parish as its director.

Parish brings a wealth of experience having worked across the football, community and sports development sectors for the past 20 years.

His previous roles include director of education and inclusion at Burnley FC in the Community, and chief operating officer at Charlton Athletic Community Trust.

Chairman of LFC Foundation, Gavin Laws, said: “Matt’s appointment is excellent news for the LFC Foundation; we’re certain that he has the quality and experience to drive the charity forward.

“LFC Foundation is currently in great shape, and Matt’s appointment reflects our desire for continued growth, enabling us to help more young people in Merseyside and beyond.”

Parish said: “It goes without saying, I’m extremely excited about joining such a renowned club. I have been fortunate to have worked at two great clubs and played a part in developing their charities to become leaders in the sector.

“I'm honoured to get the opportunity to lead the LFC Foundation and build on the excellent work that is already happening.”
