Liverpool FC celebrated a fantastic evening at last week's Stadium Events & Hospitality Awards, clinching gold, silver and bronze trophies across a wealth of categories.

The prestigious awards, this year held at Anfield’s expanded Main Stand, recognise the efforts and dedication shown by the catering, conference and events teams at every football and rugby stadium across the UK and Republic of Ireland.

LFC claimed gold in the Operations Team of the Year category, silver in the Shining Star Award and bronze in the Matchday Hospitality – Large Stadium category.

Andrew Parkinson, the club’s operations director, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been awarded Operations Team of the Year.

“The team has worked tirelessly over the last 12 months to deliver the unique and innovative style and service of a 21st-century Anfield whilst ensuring that fans and visitors enjoy a memorable experience at the stadium. The team deserve to be recognised within our industry as something not only special, but outstanding.

“We are also really proud to have won the bronze award for our matchday hospitality. We pride ourselves on delivering the very best experience for our fans with state-of-the-art facilities across the stadium.

“Special recognition should also be paid to LFC’s duty manager, Lorna Butler, who was awarded the silver Shining Star Award for delivering inspirational customer service and becoming a role model for others living the club’s values.”

Elsewhere, LFC also took home bronze for Best Fan Engagement Programme at the Sports Business Awards, held in London.

The Reds scooped the award for the hugely successful LFC World roadshow – Liverpool Football Club and Standard Chartered’s interactive fan experience.

This season, the LFC World experience has visited Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong and Shanghai, meeting thousands of supporters along the way. The experience aims to bring the club closer to fans around the globe.
