Anfield paused to once again poignantly remember the 96 victims of the Hillsborough tragedy ahead of Thursday night's Europa League semi-final victory over Villarreal.

The match was the club's first at home since the landmark determinations of the jury at the new inquests into the disaster of April 15, 1989 were returned last week.

And respects were paid to all affected by Hillsborough as a mosaic was formed around the ground reading '96 – The Greatest Football Family' as 'You'll Never Walk Alone' was sung by a choir.
