Ian Rush and Robbie Fowler joined the LFC Foundation team at a special event for the official Hong Kong supporters' club this evening.

They dropped by Grappas Cellar for a Q&A, a chat with fans and autographs and photos.

Reds make visit to children's hospital

14 members of Liverpool's squad made a visit to the local Duchess of Kent Children’s Hospital this afternoon to spend some time with the patients.

Ward explains why competition is healthy

We caught up with Danny Ward on the flight to Hong Kong as the goalkeeper prepares to contend for the No.1 spot in the Liverpool team this season.

"Our aim every day is to push each other as far as we can because we want Liverpool to have the best goalkeeper that we can potentially give them," said the Wales international.

New third kit revealed

Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino, Adam Lallana, Simon Mignolet and James Milner unveiled the team's new third kit and third training kit to media inside their hotel this afternoon.

We also had a quick stop and chat with John Barnes, who outlined what he believes Liverpool's aims will be over the course of the next week here in Hong Kong. Watch what he had to say below...

We caught up with Gary McAllister earlier, who is one of the Reds legends joining us on the trip.

“Hong Kong is an amazing place," he told us. "Just on arrival, looking at the bay here, it’s pretty special. And as far as Liverpool fans go, the support is remarkable. Whenever we come to the Far East, it never ceases to amaze me how many Liverpool fans are here.”

New 2017-18 third kit to be revealed...

Among the events scheduled for this afternoon is a special reveal of the team's brand new third kit for the upcoming season. A number of first-team players will show off the New Balance strip inside the hotel - and we'll be there, too.

Autographs on arrival

There were excited local fans waiting to greet the players when they reached the hotel this morning - and they were rewarded for their patience with the signatures of their heroes.

The Liverpool squad has arrived in Hong Kong to begin their six-day stay for the Premier League Asia Trophy, following a 13-hour flight overnight.

Jürgen Klopp and his players have an afternoon of appearances at the hotel before their first training session at 10pm local time this evening.
