LFC FoundationSteven Gerrard confirmed as guest speaker for LFC Foundation Gala Ball 2026
Former Reds captain Steven Gerrard will headline this year’s LFC Foundation Gala Ball as the guest speaker.
Gerrard will join the club’s official charity for the special evening on Thursday May 21 at the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral. The event will be hosted by LFCTV presenter and stadium announcer, Peter McDowall.
The black-tie event is always a standout occasion in the club’s calendar, bringing together supporters, partners and former players for an evening of live entertainment and vital fundraising.
Guests will arrive on the red carpet, enjoy a three-course meal, and take part in an exclusive auction featuring a range of unique items and experiences.
You can join Steven and a host of familiar faces at this year’s event, with tickets available to purchase now. Further special guests will be announced in due course.
Funds raised through the event, sponsored by Carpenters Group, will support the work of LFC Foundation, which continues to support health, champion learning and enhance employment opportunities across the Liverpool City Region and beyond.
Former midfielder Gerrard said: “I’m really looking forward to being part of the LFC Foundation Gala Ball this year. The work they do across the community is so important, and it’s something that has always meant a lot to me. It will be a really special night and is a great opportunity to help raise vital funds.”
LFC Foundation supported 145,617 people last season alone, with more than half of the participants from the top 20 per cent most-deprived areas in the country, reflecting the Foundation's focus on communities with the greatest need.
Through Red Neighbours, LFC Foundation also donated more than £500,000 worth of essential food hampers, stadium tours and matchday experiences last season and supported the delivery of 1,000 free meals per week, prepared by the LFC kitchens, to community members.
Matt Parish, chief executive of LFC Foundation, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Steven as our guest speaker for this year’s Gala Ball. He has always shown a genuine passion for supporting the Foundation and understands the impact the work can have.
“The Gala Ball is one of our biggest fundraising events of the year and plays a vital role in allowing us to continue to expand our programmes and impact. With Steven joining us and more special guests yet to be announced, we’re looking forward to a memorable evening that makes a real difference.”
