LFC FoundationPlayer Development Programme strengthens foundations in Belfast
On a recent visit to Belfast, two of LFC Foundation's sport & physical activity teams delivered a strategic update on the Player Development Programme, focusing on growth across the five sites in Merseyside and Belfast.
The visit aimed to ensure alignment of operations and principles across all locations, reinforcing the programme’s commitment to excellence.
As part of the visit, delivery coaches received Continuing Professional Development sessions covering key aspects of the programme, including delivery structure, session design, pathway creation, and the technical coaching curriculum. These sessions are designed to maintain consistency and uphold the high standards associated with the Programme Development Programme.
Currently, the programme is in Block 2, engaging players across four Merseyside sites and welcoming 160 unique players at the Belfast location. This growth reflects the programme’s mission to deliver a unique football curriculum, rooted in ‘The Liverpool Way’, as a core framework for player development.
Beyond football skills, the Player Development Programme is committed to creating experiences that shape participants into confident young adults, equipping them with transferable life skills that extend far beyond the pitch.
