This Christmas, LFC Foundation’s Christmas Magic campaign has reached more families than ever before, with food support at the heart of its festive efforts across the Liverpool City Region.

Throughout December, the Foundation, supported by the club, partners and volunteers, delivered a record 2,500 food hampers to local families, participants and residents - the most ever donated as part of the campaign. Each hamper contained enough food to feed a family of four for four days, offering vital support over the festive period.

Alongside the hamper deliveries, LFC Foundation Christmas Magic brought people together through a range of activities. Free Christmas lunches were hosted at Anfield, welcoming more than 500 local people to enjoy a traditional three-course Christmas meal and seasonal entertainment.

The month also saw the return of the Forever Reds Christmas Lunch, where LFC legends came together to celebrate the season and raise funds for local good causes and the club’s former players’ association. This year’s event raised £76,000, continuing the remarkable impact of Forever Reds and its ongoing support for the wider community.

The campaign was rounded off with Christmas parties for LFC Foundation programme participants, and the club’s popular Christmas Carol event at Anfield – bringing the LFC family together with a festive and uplifting service led by Bill Bygroves, the club chaplain.

Support for those facing food poverty continues beyond December, with LFC Foundation and the club working closely with St Andrew’s Community Network, home of the North Liverpool Foodbank. Supporters can donate food at collection points around the stadium from three hours before kick-off at every home game throughout the season.
