The fifth annual Forever Reds Christmas Lunch has raised £76,000 for charitable causes at a sell-out seasonal celebration

Held in The Beautiful Game hospitality lounge at Anfield Stadium, fans enjoyed a pre-drinks reception and three-course Christmas lunch, at the home of the Premier League champions.

Club legends in attendance were Sir Kenny Dalglish, Ian Rush, Robbie Fowler, Alan Kennedy, Becky Easton, Chris Kirkland, David Fairclough, David Thompson, Gary McAllister, Gordon Wallace, Howard Gayle, Ian Callaghan, Martin Kelly, Neil Mellor, Phil Thompson, Sammy Lee, Stephen Wright, Steve McMahon, Tash Dowie and Chairman John Aldridge.

The main event began with a welcome address from Forever Reds chair John Aldridge who paid tribute to those former players who have been sadly lost in 2025.

It also featured a Q&A with three of the clubs greatest ever goal scorers Fowler, Rush and Aldo. Plus, a special live performance from winner of ‘The Piano 2024’ Brad Kella, and a Q&A with comedian and actor Chris McCausland hosted by Peter McDowall.

Chairman John Aldridge said: “Another fantastic Christmas event held in support of Forever Reds. Thank you to the fans for coming and supporting us, it means so much to all the former players.

“This event just keeps getting better, and the money raised will go a long way to support our Forever Reds and local good causes.”

Jonathan Bamber, LFC’s Chief Legal and External Affairs Officer and executive sponsor of Forever Reds added: “This event is a great opportunity to get our former players together at Anfield and celebrate the work of Forever Reds. We’re incredibly grateful to the supporters who join us at each event and help us continue to raise money for former players and local charities.”

The creation of Forever Reds has been driven by the club’s desire to ensure former players always feel part of the LFC family – providing former players with support, involving them in important work in the local community and coming together to raise money for local charitable causes alongside the LFC Foundation.

Forever Reds has donated over £340,000 to local charities since they started fundraising. Local causes like Alder Hey Children’s Charity recently received a second donation of £25,000 (£50,000 in total) to help finance a new Surgical Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

The next Forever Reds event following the Christmas Lunch is the annual Forever Reds Golf Day on Friday 27 March 2026 which is now sold out.
