Highlighting a fortnight of fun and engaging activities with schoolchildren and teachers from across Liverpool City Region

STEM team inspire girls at CyberFirst mega event

On Tuesday 9th December, the LFC Foundation STEM team supported the CyberFirst Mega Event at Boxpark Liverpool, delivering an engaging coding workshop to over 90 girls.

The session was full of energy, with pupils working enthusiastically together to code their robots and create different shapes. It was brilliant to see so much teamwork, confidence and curiosity throughout the workshop.

The session was led by LFC Foundation's Schools Manager, Wendy Napier, and highlighted how hands-on STEM activities can inspire girls, build digital skills and open up new pathways for the future.

Supporting game leaders through teacher CPD

On 10th December, the LFC Foundation’s Premier League Primary Stars team supported teacher CPD at Park Brow, with a specific focus on developing the school’s Game Leaders programme.

Led by Annie Jones, LFC Foundation's Premier League Primary Stars Senior Coordinator, the bespoke session responded directly to a request from the P.E. lead at Park Brow for support in helping to strengthen pupil leadership while also upskilling staff. The LFC Foundation's approach to CPD ensures the both student and teacher are considered and that the Game Leaders’ activities were purposeful, inclusive and well structured.

This tailored support highlights how Premier League Primary Stars works closely with schools to meet their individual needs and enhance high-quality PE provision.

Power for Good pledge leaves lasting anti-bullying legacy

Following on from the LFC Foundation's school assemblies during Anti-Bullying Week in October, the Premier League Primary Stars team worked with participating schools to create a Power for Good pledge, helping to leave a lasting legacy of the important messages shared.

Led by Annie Jones, the pledge encouraged pupils to reflect on kindness, respect and standing up for one another, giving them ownership of the values discussed during the week.

This initiative highlighted how Premier League Primary Stars provide bespoke activations that embed positive behaviour and life skills that continue long after the assembly ends.

Actions & consequences workshop inspires schoolchildren

On 5th December, the LFC Foundation delivered a powerful Actions & Consequences workshop led by Kicks Targeted Coordinator Paul Wright.

Supported by Annie Jones, the session shared Paul’s remarkable life journey.

From his time in the army, through the challenges in his personal life, to the incredible work he now does supporting young people through the LFC Foundation.

The honest and inspiring session encouraged pupils to reflect on the impact of their choices and showed how positive change is always possible. A brilliant example of how real stories can create meaningful learning.

Show Racism the Red Card delivers powerful educational day at Anfield

The LFC Foundation recently hosted young people at Anfield to take part in a full-day educational event delivered by Show Racism the Red Card, designed to engage, challenge and empower through interactive learning. During the morning, pupils participated in impactful workshops exploring anti-racism, challenging harmful narratives, and addressing online hate, alongside a guided tour of the stadium.

After lunch, the day continued with a main session bringing everyone together for a recap workshop and a powerful Q&A. Pupils heard directly from representatives from the local council, the Anthony Walker Foundation, and former players who were among the first Black players to represent Liverpool, offering lived experiences and honest discussion.

The event provided an inspiring and informative experience, encouraging equality, respect and critical thinking, while giving young people the space to ask questions, reflect and learn from real voices. A strong example of education being used to drive positive social change.

Our Lady Immaculate pupils help shape new Anfield education resource

This week, 30 pupils from Our Lady Immaculate, spanning Years 1 to 6, were invited to Anfield to help pilot a brand-new education worksheet being developed by our Tours team.

The visit gave the children a chance to test out the resource first-hand, and they absolutely smashed it. Fully engaged throughout, they asked great questions, shared brilliant ideas, and represented their school with pride.

Big thanks to Our Lady Immaculate for being part of the pilot. We’re excited to see how this new resource can support future school visits to Anfield.
