The Real Truth Legacy Project

The event was run by the Premier League Primary Stars team and delivered brilliantly by Scott Hoather, LFC Foundation’s Premier League Primary Stars Coordinator with fantastic support from Nick Ryan LFC Foundation’s Schools Manager and Annie Jones, LFC Foundation Premier League Primary Stars Coordinator.

A total of 210 pupils from primary and secondary schools attended to learn about the Hillsborough Disaster, Social Justice, and the importance of the Hillsborough Law.

Pupils were welcomed into a powerful museum of artefacts, before taking part in a workshop exploring how banners help us remember those we have lost.

They also learned what happened, why it happened, and the social injustices that followed, helping them understand that their voices matter and can be used to drive positive change.

We were honoured to be joined by survivors and family members connected to the tragedy, who shared their lived experiences and brought deep meaning to the day. Guests from the Royal Court also attended to observe the session, who are interested in bringing this to theatre.

Anti-Bullying Week Assemblies – ‘Power for Good’

This year’s Anti-Bullying Week was delivered in brilliant fashion, organised and led by Annie Jones and proudly supported by the Premier League Primary Stars team.

Across the week, the team delivered 18 high-impact assemblies to an incredible 4,148 pupils, all centred around the national theme of ‘Power for Good’.

The sessions helped pupils understand how their actions, kindness, and voices can create safer, more supportive school communities.

A highlight for many was a special appearance from Mighty Red, who joined the assemblies to help bring these important messages to life and engage pupils in a fun and memorable way.

It was a fantastic week of empowerment, positivity, and pupil voice — showcasing how young people can stand together to make a real difference.

Inspiring Careers Assembly at Bedford Drive

A fantastic Careers Assembly took place at Bedford Drive, led by Annie Jones from the Premier League Primary Stars team and proudly supported by LFC Foundation’s Community Ambassador, Chris Kirkland.

Chris delivered an inspiring session, looking back on his journey through professional football and sharing honest reflections on the highs, challenges, and lessons learned along the way.

He also opened pupils’ eyes to the wide range of careers beyond the pitch — from coaching and analysis to media, sports science, community work, and everything in between.

The assembly encouraged pupils to think big about their futures, recognise their own strengths, and understand that football offers opportunities far wider than playing alone.

It was an engaging and motivating session, with pupils leaving inspired and full of questions about where their own paths might lead.

Premier League Primary Stars is the Premier League's primary school education programme. Funded by the Premier League, through the Premier League Foundation, the programme uses the appeal of football to help children to be active and develop essential life skills.
