LFC FoundationDudek, Škrtel and Cissé among first players confirmed for LFC Legends vs Ajax Legends
Champions League winners and record signings are among the first seven players signed up to feature for LFC Legends against Ajax Legends at Anfield, 23 March, kick-off 3pm.
Istanbul hero goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek and fellow shot-stopper Sander Westerveld will both be involved once again, with defenders Martin Škrtel, Fábio Aurélio and Grégory Vignal also confirmed for the LFC Foundation charity match, presented by AXA, the club’s official training partner.
One time record signing Djibril Cissé will be among the attacking options for LFC Legends, alongside former Reds and Ajax forward Ryan Babel, who will feature for both sides in the game.
The full management team, for the annual fixture in association with Forever Reds, LFC’s official former player association, will be announced in due course.
Tickets are on sale and 100 per cent of the proceeds raised will support the LFC Foundation and partner charities’ programmes, changing the lives of young people across the Liverpool City Region and beyond.
