LFC FoundationRed Neighbours Team Facilitate 'Hearts Handover'
Last week, the LFC Foundation’s Red Neighbours team brought together participants from the Oakfield United Response Day Service and the Swan Hospice team for a special “hearts handover” at Anfield Stadium. The handcrafted hearts, made with care by the Oakfield group, will be given to individuals in palliative are a keepsake – one that stays with the patient and others which are given to the patient’s loved ones.
During the visit to Anfield, both groups enjoyed lunch, created additional arts and crafts, and took the opportunity to see the pitch. The day celebrated creativity, community, and compassion.
Donna Hall from Oakfield United Response shared her gratitude:“We would like to send a huge thank you to the Red Neighbours team for everything you do. Your dedication, kindness and hard work really make such a positive difference to us all. We have worked really hard with love and care and hope that through this project we can make someone’s day feel special. To care for someone at the end of life is one of the greatest honours.”
