LFC FoundationChampion of the Month: May 2026
Congratulations to Kevin who is our Champion of the Month for May 2026!
Kevin was nominated for the award by LFC Foundation Employability Coordinator, Charles Crichlow for his fantastic commitment towards the Creative Works US Programme.
As part of Creative Works US programme, young people were encouraged to explore their ambitions, develop professional skills, and build meaningful connections that can support their future pathways. Kevin an alumnus of the South Bronx United HQ club, embraced every opportunity available to him and was later matched with a mentor from Vault 49, who supported him in rebranding the soccer club that he founded, Cloud FC.
Since joining, Kevin has attended almost every mentorship meetup and Open Access Creative Works session, always bringing energy, positivity, and a strong desire to grow. However, what stood out the most was his own commitment to development as well as his determination to bring others along with him. Through Cloud FC, Kevin regularly introduces new young people into the programme ecosystem, helping to expand opportunities for youth across the Bronx.
Kevin’s work through Cloud FC has allowed him to create meaningful pathways for young people within his community. As a result of the strong relationship built between the programme and Cloud FC, collaborative sessions and activities have been delivered directly with his participants, helping extend the programme’s impact even further.
Alongside his entrepreneurial leadership, Kevin has also taken major steps forward professionally. Recently, he secured a role with New York Red Bulls, where he continues to develop his coaching education and gain valuable experience within the soccer industry. This opportunity further strengthens his ability to act as a mentor and role model for young people in his community.
Following his continued involvement within the programme, our programme coordinator Charles spoke about the impact Kevin has had and said:
“Kevin has been an exceptional ambassador for our program, and a powerful example of what youth leadership can look like when opportunity meets dedication. His commitment to growth, his leadership through Cloud FC, and his willingness to consistently support others makes him a true role model within the community.”
Kevin’s journey is a fantastic example of how mentorship, opportunity, and determination can empower young people to create meaningful change within their communities.
