Liverpool have made an approach for Yacine Brahimi, according to reports in Portugal.

The FC Porto winger is being watched by a number of big clubs, including Juventus and AC Milan.

According to O Jogo , Liverpool are one of three sides to have contacted the Portuguese giants about the possibility of a summer transfer.

Brahimi, 26, is a regular for Algeria and has a buyout clause of €60million at Porto. But the club own only 50 per cent of his economic rights, meaning they would only net half of any transfer fee.

That could drive up the price a touch, but that has not stopped the Reds – as well as Milan and Wolfsburg – from making enquiries.
