AcademyU18s match report: Liverpool fight back twice to draw at Derby County

The young Reds trailed 2-0 and 3-2 in the U18 Premier League North contest but recovered from both deficits to leave Derbyshire with a point.

Goals from Erik Farkas and Luca Eden saw the visitors equalise for the first time, before successfully doing so again through Zak Coxon in the 71st minute.

Derby's Theo Olofingbuaro opened the scoring in the 29th minute, with their lead doubled on the stroke of half-time by Joseph Connor in the aftermath of a set-piece.

The response from Simon Wiles' side began in the fourth minute of the second period, when Farkas, fresh from signing his first professional contract, converted from the left side of the penalty area.

Four minutes later and it was level, Eden beating Arlo Tye in the Derby net to find the bottom corner.

Remi Harvey put the Rams back on top once more in minute 67, though this lead would not last long.

Teed up by Eden, Coxon's right-footed strike from inside the box ensured a thrilling encounter ended even.
