Liverpool FC continues to make Anfield as safe and welcoming as possible for all supporters and visitors.

The matchday safety operation has recently changed and every adult - across general admission and hospitality - will undergo a search before entering the stadium for every match at Anfield. This change has become industry best practice among major sporting events, concerts and other Premier League clubs.

The club is asking its match-going supporters to arrive at turnstiles 10 minutes earlier than normal to help with this new process.

Turnstiles at Anfield open two hours before kick-off for general admission and three hours for hospitality, allowing enough time for the necessary checks before entry. Arriving 10 minutes earlier than usual will help all fans to get into the stadium in time for kick-off.

Supporters are advised that they should get ready to be searched by removing any keys or mobile phones from their pockets before they reach the turnstiles, as this will help speed up the process.

The safety of fans attending Anfield is paramount and the club works in partnership with Merseyside Police and other partner agencies to safeguard fans on every matchday.

Working with the Spirit of Shankly supporters' group and the Liverpool Disabled Supporters Association, LFC continues to review the process for further efficiencies, with the priority being to keep fans safe.

LFC would like to thank supporters and asks them to work with stewards and follow their guidance for a safe experience. Please respect stewards and staff who are facilitating this new process.

Thank you for your continued support.
